BUILDING SECURITY QUESTIONNAIRE

The following questionnaire has been prepared by Universal Detection Technology for the purpose of gaining insights into current status of building security in the US. Universal Detection Technology is a counter-terrorism company with services ranging from consulting, threat evaluation and assessment, threat mitigation, response planning, emergency planning, bio-terrorism detection, and event security. Universal Detection Technology’s flagship product, called BSM-2000, is a real time bacterial spore monitor used for detection of abnormal levels of bacterial spores, such as anthrax, in the air. The device is used for early stage, first line of defense, bio-terror detection and functions based on a technology co-developed with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, JPL.

Universal Detection Technology is preparing a survey that studies the status of preparedness of buildings in the US against terrorism with conventional weapons and with weapons of mass destruction. The goal is to depict a clear picture of buildings’ vulnerabilities and to make recommendations for security enhancement measures. Such measures shall reduce the effectiveness of potential terrorist attacks in US buildings and will implement more effective security procedures.

Your participation in this survey is highly appreciated. We hope to be able to contribute to our national security through vigilance and by being proactive. Our goal is to draw a revealing picture of where our national weaknesses are and to devise plans that can alleviate those weaknesses and with your help we hope to be able to get there.
