LOS ANGELES--(PRNewswire)—Monday, October 23, 2006—Universal Detection Technology (OTCBB:UDTT - News;), a developer of early-warning monitoring technologies to protect people from bioterrorism and other infectious health threats, announced today that its Anthrax Detection System was featured on KNBC Eyewitness News on Wednesday, October 18.

The segment included interviews with Jacques Tizabi, CEO of Universal Detection Technology, and Amir Ettehadieh, Director of Research and Development for Universal Detection Technology. Among other topics, the need for an early warning system for the detection of deadly weaponized anthrax spores was discussed. The continuing threat of Anthrax and other forms of bioterror as well as the state of readiness of the Government to counter the threat were also reviewed.
