One of the major challenges of the 21st century is how the world deals with terrorism, a threat posed mostly by Islamic fundamentalists to innocent civilians. Acts of terror and mass killing as witnessed in recent world events are deeply rooted in hatred of the Western world and the so-called American values. Our enemies are committed to causing harm and destroying our infrastructure by any means possible and at their disposal. We have witnessed time and again that terrorists have access to vast financial resources and use such resources very diligently and efficiently to bypass our security systems and to inflict harm upon our societies.
